Job Summary: The Project Manager is responsible for leading Integration efforts to implement data exchange with health care organizations across the state. This individual will work closely with staff, clients, and vendors to ensure project scope is delivered on time and on budget.
Job Requirements/Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum 10 years experience in project management required.

MHC Technical Solutions Specialist
Schedule: M-F, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Location: Grand Rapids area
Job Summary: The Technical Solution Specialist will be responsible for technical deployment support, monitoring of the MHC platform, customer/office technical support, as well as Java solution design and development.
Job Requirements/Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of three years experience in information technology and/or healthcare related field.
- Background in health information exchange preferred.
The ideal candidate will also have the following qualifications and experience:
- Familiarity with multiple windows platforms (servers and workstations).
- Desktop support and network troubleshooting experience.
- System design and Java programming experience creating customer solutions.
- Experience with APIs a plus.

MHC Administrative Assistant
Schedule: M-F, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Location: Grand Rapids area
Job Summary: The Administrative Assistant is responsible for directing and maintaining accountability for general office operations in support of the MHC organization. This individual will report to and provide direct administrative support for the Executive Director through the appropriate use of software and/or other tools. They must exhibit initiative and knowledge to assure office operations carry on in the usual manner in management’s absence.
Job Requirements/Education & Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree with specific course work in office administration/secretarial science or equivalent level of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years secretarial/computer experience.
- Background in healthcare, health information exchange, and/or information technology preferred.
The ideal candidate will also have the following qualifications and experience:
- Ability to type 50 words per minute.
- Utilizes the appropriate software application to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of office workload.
- Greets and communicates in a manner consistent with caring and respect, and follows established policies for confidentiality. Answers telephone, takes messages, welcomes visitors and provides/relays information in a manner consistent with hospitality standards. MHC Solutions Specialist- Southeast Michigan

Location: Southeast Michigan
Job Summary: By working directly with medical providers, Physician Organizations, payers, hospital deployment leads and vendors, the Solution Specialist will maintain accountability for analyzing customer needs and develop, analyze, implement, train on system applications and models to effectively meet these needs. The Solution Specialist will work directly with management to develop strategies and solutions for newly identified opportunities.
Job Requirements/Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, sciences, information systems or related field; or equivalent level of experience.
- Minimum of three years experience in information management and/or health care related knowledge or experience.
- Experience working in provider offices and PHOs/POs in Southeast Michigan.

Medicity Project Manager
Michigan Health Connect’s technology partner, Medicity, is looking for a Project Manager to support the Michigan Health Connect projects in Michigan. This position would standardize, plan and execute the implementation of Medicity’s healthcare information exchange solutions to our customers. The PM will be responsible for managing the project lifecycle from initiation to completion and will be responsible for managing customer expectations, communication and escalations. Will engage with Medicity customers in the management of Medicity’s solution deployment including: project management, deployment marketing, vendor management and development partner management.
Responsibilities:
- Gather requirements, forecast timelines and milestones
- Coordinate with IT and Product Management departments on resource allocation
- Analyze risks and resolve issues affecting delivery of service
- Oversee change control procedures and work with Steering Committee to prioritize multiple projects
- Communication with the client in developing, clarifying and managing service expectations as well as identifying and prioritizing scope /changes/requests
- Provides documentation and regular status reporting to management.
Requirements:
- 3 to 5+ years technology implementation project management experience in a healthcare setting (hospital, physician practice, pharmacy, healthcare software specific implementation, etc.)
- Demonstrated skills with project management tools and methodologies, software development lifecycle and methodologies, and problem solving
- Experience successfully leading multiple web-based software development project teams, completing projects within established time frames and quality guidelines
- Expertise in Microsoft Project is required
- Demonstrated experience working acute and/or ambulatory healthcare IT project delivery.
- Expertise in Rally and agile project management skills are preferred.
- Certification(s) in project management and software development methodologies are preferred
- Must have a passion for new technologies and an ability to quickly understand and emerging technologies.
Education:
- College Degree – BS or equivalent in Computer Sciences, Information Technology or similar
