Solutions Specialist- Northern Michigan
Schedule: M-F, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Location: Northern Michigan
Job Summary: By working directly with medical providers, Physician Organizations, payers, hospital deployment leads and vendors, the Solution Specialist will maintain accountability for analyzing customer needs and develop, analyze, implement, train on system applications, and models to effectively meet these needs. The Solution Specialist will work directly with management to develop strategies and solutions for newly identified opportunities.
Job Requirements/Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, sciences, information systems or related field; or equivalent level of experience.
- Minimum of three years experience in information management and/or health care related knowledge or experience.
- Experience working in provider offices and PHOs/POs in Northern Michigan.
The ideal candidate will also have the following qualifications and experience:
- Clearly present information through the spoken or written word.
- Demonstrate a high level of service delivery.
- Take action in identifying and solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues.
- Prepare for emerging needs, manage multiple projects, and determine project urgency.
- Apply systems thinking to generate and implement solutions into the office workflow.

- Understand customer input in process analysis and design and identify improvements to current workflow.
- Plan and execute testing processes, develop test scripts, and conversion to live process.

- Experience deploying and training on vendor supplied systems.
- Working knowledge of project management lifecycle methodologies and tools.
- Knowledge of health information exchange environment preferred.
- Availability to travel around the state as required and be on-call on a rotating basis.
- Past consulting experience preferred.

- Equipped to work remotely in Northern Michigan with a regional customer base as well as other customers across the state and a team in Grand Rapids.
MHC Technical Solutions Specialist
Schedule: M-F, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Location: Grand Rapids area
Job Summary: The Technical Solution Specialist will be responsible for technical deployment support, monitoring of the MHC platform, customer/office technical support, as well as Java solution design and development.
Job Requirements/Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of three years experience in information technology and/or healthcare related field.
- Background in health information exchange preferred.
The ideal candidate will also have the following qualifications and experience:
- Familiarity with multiple windows platforms (servers and workstations).
- Desktop support and network troubleshooting experience.
- System design and Java programming experience creating customer solutions.
- Experience with APIs a plus.
- Able to clearly present information through the spoken or written word.
- Able to demonstrate a high level of service delivery.
- Able to take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues.
- Able to prepare for emerging needs, manage multiple projects, and determine project urgency.
- Able to apply systems thinking to generate solutions.
- Able to advise customers of impact of decisions related to customer technology and product offerings.
